Specifics: Includes new asphalt, acrylic surfacing, fencing and lighting. Playground reconstruction includes new curbs, safety surfacing and play equipment.

Nearest major intersection: Langstaff Road and Pine Valley Drive.

Timeline: Work started at the end of August.

Projected cost: Approximately $450,000.

Why the existing courts and playground are no longer usable: According to the city, they have reached the end of their life cycle. The playground is being relocated to north of the tennis courts. Existing playground area will be filled and sodded.

Construction anticipated finishing: Summer 2020.
