Rogers Hometown Hockey hosts Ron MacLean and Tara Slone are bringing their team to Vaughan as part of the sixth season for the in-season weekly show that includes the Sunday night broadcast of a National Hockey League game.

The weekend-long celebration will set up Jan. 11 and 12 at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre.

A weekend of free outdoor hockey festivities is culminated by an outdoor viewing party of the Jan. 12 broadcast on Sportsnet between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers.

The Vaughan stop is one of seven scheduled for Ontario communities this season. In all, the series will include 25 stops this winter across Canada.

Past stops in York Region include Newmarket, Markham and Aurora.
