Minimal traffic disruption is anticipated following a two-alarm house fire Sept. 9 in Thornhill.
According to Vaughan Fire and Emergency Services Assistant Chief Mike Doyle, firefighters responded to a call at 2:28 p.m. at 123 Bradbeer Crescent, located in the Yonge Street and Steeles Avenue area.
The fire was contained primarily to the garage, according to Doyle, who pointed out two vehicles were "charred".
"It was an offensive attack primarily contained to the garage," Doyle said. "It was extinguished with minor extension into the home, but contained in the wall."
The homeowner suffered minor smoke inhalation while returning to the house to rescue a dog, Doyle said. The homeowner was treated on the scene.
