Trail to temporarily close at Newmarket GO/Tannery

The closure, beginning Monday, is for improvements to the trail and the installation of pedestrian bridges

The portion of the Tom Taylor Trail near the Newmarket GO station and Tannery at Davis Drive will be temporarily closed beginning Monday, Aug. 12.

The closure, from the north limit of Newmarket GO/Newmarket Tannery parking lot to the Keith Bridge underpass, south of Davis, is for trail improvements and the installation of two pedestrian bridges.

The construction is expected to last until late fall 2019.

Detour routes will be highlighted through signage along the trail to minimize the impact to trail users.
