O September! The month to elongate those summer moments, return to school and welcome in a new season. September is also the month of Culture Days and York Region has oodles of options for you to flex your arts and culture muscles and get with the program.

Newmarket Stage Company is back again with a hilarious comedy called The Housekeeper, by American playwright James Prideaux. Floundering after the death of his mother, a pompous, self-styled writer employs a housekeeper. When the housekeeper arrives, he is taken aback by her flippant attitude.

This is the second time that award-winning actors, Lise Boily from Mount Albert and David Sansom of Richmond Hill have teamed up with director Kay Valentine of Aurora. Valentine was a founding member of the South Shore Little Theatre in Keswick and The Old Town Hall Players in Newmarket. Now she sweeps audiences off their feet with this upcoming production of the The Housekeeper which is sure to make you clean up your act!
