Watch for Thornhill road closures along Hwy. 7 W., Bathurst Street and Centre Street.
JUST THE FACTS
What: Closures needed to pave intersections along VivaNext rapid way. Dedicated bus lanes are being built to allow bus rapid transit.
Who: This is not a City of Vaughan project, but a project of VivaNext (funded by Metrolinx) under the jurisdiction of York Region.
When: The first closures begin July 8. Other closures: July 9, 24 and 25.
Other specifics:
- Monday, July 8: West intersection of Centre St. and Bathurst St. closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. No access to Bathurst St. heading west. East half of intersection remains open.
- Tuesday, July 9: East intersection of Centre St. and Bathurst St. closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. No access to Bathurst St. heading east. West half of intersection remains open.
- Wednesday, July 24: West intersection of Centre St. and Dufferin St. closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. No access to Dufferin St. heading west. East half of intersection remains open.
- Thursday, July 25: East intersection of Centre St. and Dufferin St. is closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. No access to Dufferin St. heading east. West half of intersection remains open.
