Newmarket families enjoy eating s'mores at campfire, sleeping under stars

Whether you are an experienced camper or pitching your tent for the first time, you can enjoy the camping experience close to home.

The Town of Newmarket hosted a summer family campout this weekend at the Environmental Park featuring a traditional camping dinner, games and a campfire with s'mores before sleeping under the stars. 

Families wake up with the sunrise and enjoy breakfast, before packing up the campsite and 'leaving no trace'.

The next family campout is Saturday, Aug. 10 to Sunday Aug. 11, from 1 p.m. (Saturday) to 9:30 a.m. (Sunday), at Fairy Lake Park.
