There has never been a better time (or season) to buy local! The Woodbridge Village Farmer’s Market, located at the northwest corner of Hwy#7 and Islington Avenue, celebrated the start of their 11th year of operation recently with a Grand Opening Day Celebration. Opening Day featured an opportunity to learn about native plants from master gardeners and of course, a number of local farm vendors “who are passionate about their produce.” Running rain or shine from Opening day through to Thanksgiving weekend, the market is open Saturday’s from 9am to 1pm. Parking is free, volunteers are always on hand to support shoppers and there is even something for the kids with a Kid’s Club featuring creative crafts and other engaging activities. If you are looking to support local, buy fresh fruits and veggies as well as items like cheese, honey, bread and baked goods, this market is for you!
