City of Vaughan Public Works Open House Event

The Public Works Portfolio hosted its annual Public Works Open House Event. Guests came out to learn about the services Public Works staff provide. Some participants included: Vaughan Fire and Emergency management (fire truck on site), York Regional Police (cruiser on site), By-Law Enforcement (vehicle on site), Miller Waste (recycling truck on site), Animal Services and more! It was fun for the whole family! Guests enjoyed tons of music and entertainment, a BBQ with food prepared by Enbridge, a Kids Zone with face painting, colouring tables, balloon twisting and even a kids bike rodeo! So much information was provided to guests as there was a Public Works vehicle on display and with live demonstrations -- everyone learned about City vehicles, water quality, sanitary sewers, solid waste management, roads maintenance and much more!
