There is no shortage of events and festivities happening across York Region to celebrate all that is red and white. From parades to fireworks, and everything in-between, there's plenty of fun to be had July 1.
Aurora
July 1, parade starts at 10 a.m.
Yonge Street

Celebrate Canada’s birthday with plenty of free family activities throughout the day. The annual Canada Day parade starts at 10 a.m. and travels south along Yonge Street from Mosely Street to Murray Drive.
East Gwillimbury
July 1, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., 7 to 10 p.m.
Sharon Temple National Historic Site, Mount Albert Lions Community Centre

Enjoy a day of historical re-enactments, yard games and bouncy castles at the Sharon Temple. Cap the day off with live music, entertainment and fireworks at the Mount Albert Community Centre.

Markham’s Canada Day celebrations unite all members of the community. The daylong event features a citizenship ceremony, seniors luncheon and community event at Milne Dam, including children's activities, live music and food trucks. The People’s Parade starts at 4 p.m. and travels south along McCowan Road to Milne Dam.
