Whitchurch-Stouffville Mayor Iain Lovatt has announced new Community Impact Awards for the town. The awards will celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of residents whose distinctive contributions to the community have elevated both the spirit and quality of life in town.
Residents are encouraged to submit a nomination for an individual who has achieved the highest standards of excellence or made an extraordinary impact in one of these key areas:
By creating the Community Impact Awards, we will have a chance to celebrate the exceptional people in our community who go above-and-beyond every day to make Whitchurch-Stouffville shine, Lovatt said. “We look forward to the Gala #ForStouffville so that we can share these stories and honour our community champions in style.”
The awards will be presented at Lovatt’s Gala #ForStouffville happening on Friday, Sept. 20 at Willow Springs Winery. The gala will be in support of the Whitchurch-Stouffville Legacy Fund, which provides grants and donations to deserving service groups, clubs and charities in Whitchurch-Stouffville.
Nominations for the Community Impact Awards will be open from Thursday, July 4 through Wednesday, July 31 at www.townofws.ca/cia.
