Watch out for a temporary Zenway Boulevard closure for sewer connections, between Highway 50 and Highway 27, in both directions.
JUST THE FACTS
- WHAT: A temporary closure -- Highway 427 at Zenway Boulevard, between New Huntington Road and Vaughan Valley Boulevard. Highway 427 will not be accessible through Zenway Boulevard. All traffic must enter and exit Highway 427 using Highway 7.
- THE CLOSURE: Fully closed in eastbound and westbound directions, for the weekend.
- DATES: Two weekends -- Friday, June 21, at 10 p.m., to Monday, June 24, at 5 a.m.; and Friday, June 28, at 10 p.m., to Tuesday, July 2, at 5 a.m. (All work is weather-permitting.)
- WHY: Through collaboration with York Region and the City of Vaughan, Link427 will be connecting sanitary utilities below Zenway Boulevard, over two weekends in June
- DEEP THOUGHT: This is a reminder that hidden in roads are the telecommunication, electricity, gas, and storm/sanitary sewer connections that are critical to our modern lives.
- Link427: The consortium responsible for the design, construction, finance and maintenance of the Highway 427 expansion Project in Ontario. Link427 was selected to undertake the extension and widening of Highway 427 by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, and Infrastructure Ontario.
