Get ready to celebrate Canada Day in Markham! Mayor Frank Scarpitti and Markham's Canada Day Chair, Councillor Amanda Collucci, announced the exciting lineup of entertainment that you can expect at Milne Dam - Markham's official celebration site - on July 1, featuring School of Rock Markham.

“It’s a point of pride when we come together as a community, joining Canadians from coast to coast to celebrate our nation’s birthday, and in true Markham style, we celebrate in a big way,” says Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti. “Markham’s story, Canada’s story, is about living in harmony knowing what we have in common far outweighs what makes us different. It’s about welcoming new Canadians and recognizing those who came before us. Get ready for another unforgettable experience. Markham is the place to be this Canada Day.”

Each year, this signature event draws over 20,000 attendees from Markham, the Greater Toronto Area and across Southern Ontario. From the Citizenship Ceremony, to the sold-out Seniors' Luncheon, People’s Parade and celebrations at Milne Dam, this event has something for everyone.

Milne Dam is the official site of Markham's Canada Day celebrations - offering a wide variety of children's activities, live music, food trucks and more! Cap the night off with grand finale fireworks at dusk.

"This year is going to be another outstanding event as we celebrate the True North Strong and Free on July 1," says Canada Day Chair, Councillor Amanda Collucci. "It will be a fun day for all ages, and you won't want to miss it! The fireworks are always a crowd-pleaser and this year’s show is sure to delight the crowd."
