VOTE 2019: Liberal Party nomination meeting for Thornhill candidate

The Liberal Party’s nomination meeting for its Thornhill candidate is happening Wednesday, June 19.

Speeches are at 6:30 p.m. at Fontana Gardens at 7400 Keele St. in Concord.

Gary Gladstone is the only qualified nomination contestant to have successfully completed the nomination application process. So, Gladstone will be acclaimed at the nomination meeting as Thornhill’s Liberal candidate in the next general election in October.

He will square off against incumbent Conservative MP Peter Kent. The 75-year-old, former journalist confirmed earlier this year that he is seeking re-election for a fourth term.
