The City of Markham is ready to celebrate our nation's birthday, bringing together our diverse communities as they celebrate their pride as Canadians! Join us on Tuesday, June 18 to find out what's planned for our biggest and most vibrant celebration of the year.

“It’s a point of pride when we come together as a community, joining Canadians from coast to coast to celebrate our nation’s birthday, and in true Markham style, we celebrate in big way,” says Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti. “Markham’s story, Canada’s story, is about living in harmony knowing what we have in common far outweighs what makes us different. It’s about welcoming new Canadians and recognizing those who came before us. Get ready for another unforgettable experience. Markham is the place to be this Canada Day.”

From welcoming 50 new Canadians at the Citizenship Ceremony, to the sold-out Seniors’ Luncheon, People’s Parade and celebrations at Milne Dam Conservation Park--the City of Markham has something for everyone to enjoy.
