You may have noticed work being done on Clark Avenue between Yonge and Bathurst Streets.
JUST THE FACTS
When the work started: April 23, 2019
When the work will finish: November 2019
What work is being done: Vaughan is replacing the water main on Clark Avenue West from Bathurst Street to Yonge Street.
Why work is being done: Vaughan is replacing a water main that is approaching the end of its service life in order to provide safe and reliable drinking water.
Construction’s impact on residents and traffic:
- Temporary lane restrictions will be required to allow construction
- Water services will be disrupted. To minimize impact during typical business hours, the shutdowns for businesses will be scheduled during evening and overnight hours. Additional notices will be circulated at least 48 hours in advance to all impacted residents and businesses.
- To minimize overall impact and duration of the project, parts of the water main installation may be staged and completed during evening/weekend hours.
- Access to private and commercial driveways and entrances will be impacted at times during the water main replacement and restoration work. Work at the location of commercial entrances will be staged so that continued access is maintained during business hours.
