The 8th Annual Joey Conte Gala

SNAPD
May 1, 2019

The 8th annual Joey Conte Gala, A Night in Hollywood, was held on Friday, April 12th, 2019. It was an amazing evening featuring live entertainment, silent auction and lots of fun to help raise awareness and fund SickKids Burn & Plastics Unit. It was an incredible evening of delicious food, live entertainment and a silent auction in support of The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) and in memory of Joey Conte. Joey passed away in October 2011 at the age of 23. Following his passing, the Joey Conte Foundation (JCF) was formed. The Joey Conte Foundation (JCF) is a group of special people, family and friends, who have gathered with Joey's family to continuously keep Joey's legacy alive. Those that knew Joey know that he was a giving, generous, kind person and this foundation, in his honour, allows the giving to continue, supporting various charities and causes that were close to Joey's heart. The JCF is committed to raise funds for the Burns and Plastics Unit at SickKids Hospital in Joey’s memory. With the help of the community the JCF has raised over $150,000 to date. With these funds a variety of equipment for the Burns & Plastics Unit has been purchased and a room has been named after Joey. The JCF is currently raising funds for Project Horizon to build a new SickKids Hospital. For more information on the Joey Conte Foundation, please visit www.joeycontefoundation.com. Be sure to save the date for next year’s event, the 9th annual gala, which will be held on April 17, 2020.
