The Town of Newmarket has plans to help you get out and play.

Town staff recently invited residents to town hall to explore proposed playground structure and park improvements at George Luesby Park located at Clearmeadow Boulevard and Rannie Road, Keffer Parkette located at Keffer Circle and Balard Crescent and Lions Park located on D’Arcy Street.

Residents were asked to view renderings and provide feedback on the improvements, which include new 911 park address signs, new playground structures to replace existing structures, new park furniture, rejuvenated gardens and playground surfacing to be replenished with engineered wood fibre for accessibility needs.

Final council approval has yet to be given for these improvements but town staff hope to begin work on the parks this summer.
