York Region has completed its municipal class environmental assessment study to establish the “preferred solution” to provide new water infrastructure to service anticipated growth in northeast Vaughan to 2051.
That solution, according to a York Region public notice issued April 11, includes "the construction of two elevated water storage tanks, two water pumping stations, watermains associated with the storage tanks and pumping stations, and a new gravity trunk sewer network.”
The project file is available for public review on york.ca/ea and a copy is available at the York Region clerk’s department at 17250 Yonge Street in Newmarket; or at the City of Vaughan, city clerk's office, 2141 Major Mackenzie Drive.
