Vaughan Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire at a recycling plant in Vaughan just before 2 p.m. March 26 that caused significant smoke damage to the plant.
The fire took place at Volpe Paper Fibres at 201 Snidercroft Rd., in Concord, in the Hwy. 407 and Keele Street area.
"We arrived to light smoke conditions, we made our way inside and found a bunch of cardboard on fire in and around the conveyor belt," assistant deputy fire chief Mike Doyle said.
He said everyone was outside and "we have no reports of injuries".
"There will be heavy smoke damage to the building," Doyle said.
The fire was out after several hours of work by firefighters.
