In partnership with the City of Vaughan, Vaughan Public Libraries hosted Jamaican-Canadian poet, author and art educator, Nadine Williams, in celebration with Black History Month. Visiting Pleasant Ridge Library, Pierre Berton Resource Library and Vellore Village Library, she impressed her audiences with an interactive session of storytelling, poetry and songs. Using her latest book Cats, Bats and Rats as motivation, she engaged young participants in a fun and interactive session of reading and creating lyrics to a rap beat for an awesome African-Canadian cultural experience.
