The Toronto and East York Community Council's Ontario Place subcommittee will be holding its first meeting March 5.

The subcommittee was established by the community council in the wake of news that the Doug Ford Ontario government intends to rethink the future of the retro-futuristic waterfront complex -- a process that could transform the site with casinos, shopping and other attractions.

The agenda will include public deputations on the future of Ontario Place as well as a presentation from city planners.

The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. March 5, in Committee Room 1 at Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.
