Niagara University has extended its reach in Canada.
On Thursday morning, the school announced the addition of a campus in Vaughan, Ontario.
Niagara says it is strengthening its "bi-national presence" with the new location, which is part of its Niagara University in Ontario program.
The new campus will be the first university ever established in the City of Vaughan and the York Region.
"It has long been my dream to attract a university to Vaughan," Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua said.
Niagara University has been offering programs in Canada for the past 35 years.
Classes at the Vaughan campus began on January 21.
