Vaughan has begun on Tuesday, Feb. 25 its first meeting among its five series of public consultations, with the last one taking place at city hall on March 11.
The consultations come after citizens and stakeholders completed an online survey, showing that about 70 per cent of respondents want new rules and regulations on short-term rentals.
The City says that a “review of the current landscape, including input from citizens and stakeholders, as well as an understanding of the land-use planning and regulatory implications of this new wave of accommodations is currently being undertaken.”
