Treat all roads as 4-way stops during power outage

York Regional tweeted at around shortly after 5 p.m. for drivers to use extreme caution during power outage

More than 100 residences and businesses are being affected from Bloomington Sideroad to Wellington Street and Leslie Street to Industrial Parkway.

Crews are on scene working to get the power back on and York Regional Police have tweeted the estimated time of repair to be at about 9 to 11 p.m.

Police advise residents who are driving to remember to treat all roads as four-way stops when the traffic lights are out and to use extreme caution.

Earlier today, there was a power outage in Vaughan caused by a falling hydro pole on Steeles Avenue that left 2,622 homes and businesses without power
