Local dignitaries and business people attended the launch party for York Region’s first professional team--York9 Football Club. This intimate evening was led by Canada’s own Craig Forest, former Premier League and Canadian International goal keeper. This event provided guests with a rare chance to meet and speak with players, coaches, and Canadian soccer icons. The team also announced their first six recent players to be signed. York9 will commence their inaugural season in late April 2019, with home games being played at Alumni Field at York University.
