Vaughan Rangers Minor Atom A and Peewee A and Safehaven Family Skate

On December 22, the Vaughan Rangers Minor Atom A and Peewee A teams together with Safehaven hosted a Family Skate event at the Sports Village Arena. To enter the event guests were asked to bring an unwrapped toy which were then donated to the Vaughan Fire Hall and distributed to families in need. The skate was hosted for children from Safehaven- players of each hockey team assisted children while on the ice. Smiles were seen across each face on the rink that day. Afterwards, guests were welcome to enjoy exploring a Vaughan City Fire Truck. At Safehaven, it is their mission to provide a family centered and community based residential and respite care for individuals with complex care needs.
