Six single-lot homes are planned in the 16th Avenue and Bayview Avenue area of Richmond Hill.

Just the facts:

History: The original proposal was considered by council at its public meeting in May 2016. A residents' meeting was held on March 22, 2016 to inform local residents and area stakeholders of the applicant's development proposal.

Proposal: This is only one part of the development proposal, which also includes a commercial building with units that will be three storeys in height.

Location: The proposed development would be at 16th Avenue and old 16th Avenue. A mixed-use development, comprised of six single detached lots with frontage on Old 16th Avenue and a commercial building at the southeast corner of 16th Avenue and Bayview Avenue.

This block is the subject of an application to build a two-storey commercial building with about 14,000 square feet of commercial floor space. The land is south of 16th Avenue, east of Bayview Avenue.

To the immediate west is an existing commercial development; to the east is a commercial plaza, to the south across from Old 16th Avenue are single detached homes.
