Woman, 70, dead after three-vehicle collision in Vaughan

A 70-year-old woman is dead and two others are injured after a three-vehicle collision in Vaughan early Monday morning.

Shortly after 7 a.m., York Region police arrived at the scene in the area of Islington Ave. and Sonoma Blvd.

York Region police are investigating an early morning crash in Vaughan on Monday which left a driver dead and two others injured.

A silver Honda Civic was headed north on Islington, when it collided with a black Toyota Rav4 headed south, and then with a southbound blue Honda Civic, police said in a news release.

The drivers of the Toyota Rav4 and the blue Honda Civic were taken to hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the silver Honda Civic, the 70-year-old woman, was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are investigating and asking the public for any dashcam video at the time of the crash to come forward.
