Toronto probably won’t be getting a white Christmas this year.
The temperature should hang around zero over the weekend and up to Christmas Day, dipping to a low of -5 C on the evening of the 25th, Environment Canada says. There is a 30 per cent chance of flurries on Christmas Eve and Christmas, and a mix of sun and clouds both days.

If you’re planning to venture outside the GTA, you’ll find some periods of snow in Ottawa and Kingston Saturday followed by some chances of flurries and a chilly, sunny Christmas morning with highs of -5 C in Kingston and -10 C in Ottawa.
Sudbury will have a 60 per cent chance of flurries over the weekend before giving way to sunshine on Monday, which will continue until Boxing Day, Environment Canada says.
A rainfall warning is currently in effect for Ottawa and Kingston due to a major weather system coming north from the Gulf of Mexico. Between 25 and 50 mm is expected by Saturday morning.
“Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible,” Environment Canada says.
