York Region in for snow flurries Remembrance Day weekend

Prepare to bundle up if you are going to Remembrance Day ceremonies in York Region this weekend, cool temperatures and snow flurries appear to be on the way.

Periods of light snow are expected to begin in the early morning on Nov. 9, according to Environment Canada.

It will then change to rain mixed with light snow in the afternoon, leaving about 2 cms of the white stuff on the ground.

There will be a high of 3 C, Environment Canada says.

On Nov. 10, the forecast calls for a 30 per cent chance of rain showers or flurries and a high of 3 C.

Remembrance Day Nov. 11 is expected to bring a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 1 C.

Heading into the work week, there's chance of flurries on Nov. 12, 13 and 14.
