Vaughan firefighters battle blaze at Kleinburg house

Fire broke out Wednesday night at 287 Torrey Pines Rd.

Vaughan firefighters were called to a fire at a home at 287 Torrey Pines Rd. in Kleinburg on Wednesday at 8:05 p.m.

Fire Chief Deryn Rizzi reports up to 38 firefighters responded to the large fire Nov. 7 that burned through the first floor and caused significant damage to the second floor.

The occupants of the home were all able to get out safely. No injuries were reported.

It’s estimated more than $500,000 in damage occurred as a result of the fire.

The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office has been called in to investigate and determine the cause and origin of the fire.
