Richmond Hill residents are invited to join the Royal Canadian Branch 375 for its annual Remembrance Day parade and ceremony on Sunday.

All ex-service personnel are invited to take part in the march, which begins at 10 a.m. from the northwest corner of Wright and Yonge Street and proceeds south on Yonge Street to the Richmond Hill Cenotaph at 10:30 a.m.

Residents can join them at the service, which will take place at the Richmond Hill Cenotaph at 11 a.m. in front of the McConaghy Centre at 10100 Yonge St.

Residents, veterans and legion members will pay respect to those who have fallen and those who remain after fighting for the freedom Canadians enjoy in present day.

Following the service, a luncheon will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 375 at 233 Centre St. E. Everyone is welcome to help themselves with some sandwiches, hotdogs and desserts.

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of end of the first World War, two churches -- Our Lady Queen of the World Parish and St. Mary's Anglican Church -- will be ringing their bells for 100 times as part of the Bell of Peace initiative.
