The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville has completed an environmental assessment for the rehabilitation of 300 metres of Lakeshore Road, located along the southern portion of Musselman's Lake. The improvements also include a drainage easement from Windsor Drive to Lakeshore Road to address existing active erosion issues.
Following the completion of a public information centre and the receipt of input from interested parties, the town selected a preferred solution that includes: reconstruction of 300 metres of Lakeshore Road with a roadway width of six metres; modifying the alignment to avoid in-water works and private property impacts; constructing a 0.5-metre paved shoulder on the south side of the roadway; and constructing a curb along the north side of the roadway.
