York Region business leaders announce significant gift for new Mackenzie Hospital

On September 25, John A. D’Angelo, Giuseppe Maio and Claudio Memme of HBNG Holborn Group (HBNG) announced a significant gift towards the new Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital. A cheque of two millions dollars was presented to the Exceptional Care Belongs Here campaign supporting the new Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital. This gift will help build the main courtyard with cascading gardens- designed for patients and families as an essential therapeutic space for recreation, socialization and respite. Scheduled to open in late 2020, the 1.2 million sq. ft., state-of-the art hospital will be the first hospital to be built in York Region in more than 30 years and the first-ever hospital in the City of Vaughan. The Mackenzie Health Foundation has committed to raising $250 million in community contributions toward the total $1.6-billion project cost, and has already raised $113 million to date.
