The Third Annual Waves of Changes for Autism Gala

On September 27, hundreds joined the wave from the City of Vaughan and surrounding areas as they gathered for the 3rd Annual Waves of Changes for Autism Gala. With over 1100 tickets sold, guests gathered at the Terrace Banquet Centre to enjoy this year's theme- Under the Italian Sun with hosts Romina and Tony Monaco (Z103.5 the official radio media sponsor of Waves). Guests had the chance at winning a trip for two to Italy and raffles for major Toronto sporting events, jewelry and a Wheel Of Cheese from Grande Cheese and much more! Special thanks to Ellen Contardi and Loredana Di lacovo and the Waves board and committee for putting together such a successful evening. Waves of Changes for Autism is a registered not for profit with the primary goal of helping children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families with the financial challenges they face. In just two years, with the support of the community, the organization has raised over $330,000.00, and was able to provide financial assistance to 70 families in Vaughan for specialized programs, communication devices and therapies for their children. An additional 56 applications have been approved for funding this year. This year with over 1000 guests that attended, Waves of Changes for Autism is hoping to exceed the number of families to support and bring further awareness to Autism Spectrum Disorder. Proceeds from the event go directly to fulfill the mission of making a difference in the lives of children with autism.
