Will keep Vaughan as one of the lowest taxed municipalities in the GTA and ensure citizens continue to receive maximum value for their tax dollars.

Focus on transit and roads to keep Vaughan moving

Working closely with government partners at all levels to ensure wise investments for new transit initiatives and improvements including the Yonge Subway, vivaNext as well as road building and widening.

Promoting education, culture, sports and the arts

Will transform the City of Vaughan into a hub for education, culture, sports and the arts by building the infrastructure required to achieve excellence and improve accessibility.

A strong commitment to environmental sustainability

Continue to excel in environmental stewardship which has seen our city open the 900-acre North Maple Regional Park, plant over 21,000 trees, reduce our operations greenhouse gas emissions by 22 percent, build hundreds of kilometres of cycling, pedestrian and multi-use recreational pathways and make major investments in the Edgeley Pond.

Support and attract small and large businesses to our city which will continue to generate a record setting number of new employment opportunities by continuing to effectively champion the Vaughan Advantage, which has created 55,000 new jobs in the past eight years.

Will continue to implement policies and act on the City’s strong commitment to creating age-friendly communities.
