Meet Kesha Wint, Whitchurch-Stouffville Ward 1 candidate

My name is Kesha Wint and I aim to be your future Ward 1 councillor. I have lived in Whitchurch-Stouffville for 11 years.

I have spent the past 12 years as music and creative arts director at my home church. In this role, I have spent a great amount of time with clients and have worked hard to foster strong, lasting relationships. I currently sit as the chair of the Whitchurch-Stouffville Prayer Breakfast Committee. In my professional capacity, I work productively to produce results and manage high expectations and tight deadlines for projects on a regular basis.

During the past few years, I have been fortunate enough to work with the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation, City of Markham, as well as singing with major artists on their albums and international commercials, and live entertainment shows.

Through these experiences I have gained communication skills and have been provided with an opportunity to use my creativity to assist in developing advertising and marketing campaigns. I have also developed strong leadership skills, which I have used to assist other artists in moving toward success.

With my specific background in the arts, I want to work with our community to develop tourism and lifestyle initiatives. From popular celebrations to holiday programming that will help promote community engagement through the arts with private and public events. I am eager to work with you to keep Whitchurch-Stouffville one of the best places to live.
