If you see several fire chiefs on your GO train ride the morning of Oct. 10, don’t worry; there’s no emergency.
Instead, the chiefs will travel the Barrie line during the morning commute to spread the word about Fire Prevention Week.
The officials will meet at the Barrie GO station at 5 a.m., greeting commuters as they arrive and giving tips on preventing fires.
The chiefs will board the southbound train just before 5:30 a.m. and talk to passengers along the route.
Fire chiefs will disembark at stations along the way, including in Bradford, East Gwillimbury, King Township and Vaughan to address commuters on the platforms.
The event will end at the Rutherford station in Vaughan just after 8 a.m.
