What's open and closed in York Region Thanksgiving weekend?

If you plan to take public transit, go shopping or head to your local pool on Thanksgiving, this information is for you.

Here’s what’s open and closed in York Region on Thanksgiving Monday,   Oct. 8:

OPEN

• •GO Transit

 

• GO Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule 

• •York Region Transit

 

• All YRT and TTC routes running in York Region will operate on a Sunday/holiday service schedule

Retail

• Most major malls, including Promenade Shopping Mall, Upper Canada Mall, Vaughan Mills, CF Markville Mall and

 

• Hillcrest Mall are open.

Recreation

• Most facilities will be closed. Check with your municipality for specifics.

 

• The Beer Store and LCBO will be closed Oct. 8. However, some LCBO agency stores may observe their normal business hours on the holiday.

Services

• •Canada Post will be closed, with no collection or delivery of mail.
