With the weather onside once again, this year’s Alternatives Annual Charity Golf Classic & Dinner managed to successfully unite the community for a praiseworthy cause. This year, the organization celebrated its 17th annual installment at the beautiful Copper Creek Golf Club course. The event attracted a swarm of generous donors and guests, with over 200 golfers and 400 for dinner, all are committed to Creating Alternatives--a local organization that provides a day program for adults with special needs. Similar to years past, countless dedicated volunteers and the members of the program--including Alternatives Founder Phyllis Santone, Gala Co-Chairs, Gino, Marita, Danny & Espo were on hand to ensure that the day’s proceedings went smoothly. Prior to the round, golfers prepared for 18 holes at the course, as they enjoyed lunch and each other’s company. After the exhilarating round, golfers and additional guests made their way inside Copper Creeks’ Grande Ballroom for an after-dinner affair that gave the organizers a chance to offer the day’s winners and the participants a delectable and savory meal. The “19th Hole” experience was emceed by Andre Trentadue from CHIN TV. The event also featured a live & silent auction, a golf grand raffle prize and an Alternatives’ lottery, which gave many lucky participants a chance to be dubbed a “winner.” Mayor Bevilacqua, along with MP Tibollo & Lecce were all in attendance to bring greetings and accolades to this amazing organization and group of dedicated individuals! All of the proceeds helped the committee raise over $2000,000 for the Creating Alternatives Day Program.
