A new park dedicated to a prominent member of the Markham community known for her work in heritage preservation will be officially opened this Saturday.

Carolyn Clements Park, an extension of the William Forster House, will surround the home.

“It is an honour to recognize Carolyn Clements, who worked tirelessly preserving our history and restoring heritage homes in our community,” said Mayor Frank Scarpitti.

“Her love for this community and her family is exemplary and her actions are reflective of Markham’s motto of ‘Leading while Remembering.’”
