Charity Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament

You can get the weekend started the evening of Sept. 7 by playing some poker for a cause in the Richvale Lions Club's charity Texas Hold'em tournament in Richmond Hill. Refreshments will be available.

New'bark'et

You can take your dog for a swim in the Gorman Outdoor Pool and a whole lot more during Newmarket's annual canine festival, New'bark'et, Sept. 8 and 9. The event includes dog-related activities, vendors, shows, kid zone and more.

Multicultural Festival

Celebrate diversity in Aurora Sept. 8 with Aurora's Multicultural Festival. The event will include dancing, music, entertainment, food, games, crafts and more.

Introduction to Birding

Spend a day getting to know our feathered friends Sept. 8 during the Introduction to Birding at Kortright Centre for Conservation. The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and covers bird identification, bird anatomy, where and when to look for birds and more.

Markham Auto Classic

Check out classic cars during the Markham Auto Classic on Main Street Markham Sept. 9. The 19th annual edition of the event will feature more than 250 classic cars, street machines, trucks and motorcycles.
