Hey foodies, the wait is almost over.

Upper Canada Mall’s new Market and Co., first announced in February 2017, will open its doors to the public on Sept. 7 at 8:30 a.m.

The launch of the market will kick off with a festive bread-making ceremony, gift card giveaways, complimentary cooking classes with in-house chef, Julian Pancer, live entertainment and food stations.

The first 200 people to visit the market will receive a $25 mall gift card.

The 40,000-square-foot market, which mall officials boast will offer customers a "unique food experience", is part of a $60 million-redevelopment and expansion of the former Target store.

The market will feature a wide variety of fresh and prepared foods, from produce, a butcher shop and fish monger to a cheese shop, bakery and juice bar.

Throughout the weekend, you can also take complimentary cooking classes at Kitchen & Co., a built-in demonstration kitchen located within the heart of Market & Co.
