MPP Stephen Lecce for King-Vaughan riding officially opened his constituency office in King City on Sept. 19.

Lecce, the first MPP for the King-Vaughan riding, celebrated the opening of his constituency office at 2220 King Road, King City with his family, and residents

“I am humbled by the opportunity to serve our community and energized to deliver on your priorities -- lower taxes, the creation of good-paying jobs, and investments in front-line health care for our families and seniors,” Lecce said.

Lecce was elected as the MPP for the riding of King-Vaughan in June 2018, taking 56.6 per cent of votes, more than doubling that of Liberal candidate Marilyn Iafrate, his closest rival.

Lecce said he was happy about the location, which is right at the heart of his riding. "It's my local office, and my aim is to work hard and deliver positive results to people in this community. I want them to know we're going to work around the clock for them and do everything we can to improve their lives."

Roughly 100 people attended the ceremony, featuring live music and food. King Township Mayor Steve Pellegrini and Vaughan Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua welcomed Lecce and his team to the community.

“It is my great honour to welcome Stephen and his entire team to his King-Vaughan constituency office, which is geographically right in the centre of the riding, so you’ve chosen very well,” Pellegrini said.

Lecce said that his staff are already working diligently on the needs of local residents and thanked the community for sharing their perspectives with his office.

There are currently two staff members working on Lecce's team. The MPP said he welcomed residents in his riding to reach out with their concerns.

His constituency office will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Lecce is a small-business owner and longtime conservative insider. He owns a public relations consultancy and has long been active in politics -- as a teenager he worked on former PC MLA Al Palladini’s successful re-election campaign in 1999.
