The role of councillor is to consider the well-being and interests of the community regarding resource stewardship, financial responsibility, growth planning and governance.
With this in mind, it has been an honour to represent you as Ward 1 councillor.
I have gained extensive knowledge helping to guide strategic plans, and I have a proven track record to ensure Georgina is headed in the right direction.

Several large multi-year projects are underway, such as the fire hall, pool-community centre, civic centre and business park — all designed to service a growing community.

My attitude is “Leave it better than you found it,” and I am dedicated to ensuring Georgina will benefit from that approach.

My career history in tourism and environmental stewardship has given me a strong background with both multimillion-dollar and non-profit budgets. I have continued to develop skills in strategic management, public relations and facilitation, as a successful multi-award-winning local entrepreneur over the past 10 years.

Volunteering in our community has been an extension of my values and community engagement.

I have consistently dedicated my time during the last decade to numerous causes, such as: Heart and Stroke, Georgina Cares, Rogers TV, Terry Fox and Salvation Army. Additionally, this past term in council, I served on the environmental, equity and diversity, library and selection committees. I valued the experience gained and the sense of community giving back delivers.

In 2005, my husband and I moved to Keswick. And, like most people, we value the balance between our natural environment and modern convenience, and we saw the potential to put down roots in the growing community.

We are deeply committed to this community, and I will champion initiatives that maintain low debt ratio, and continue 10-year forecasting to steady the tax rate, take action to grow local job market and tourism opportunities, while building community safety and respect for our natural resources, to enhance life for Ward 1
