My wife Stephanie, our two daughters and I have happily called Ward 5 (Thornhill) home for more than 10 years.
I am passionate about the community I live in and I am a progressive thinker committed to giving our community a voice at Cty Hall.
I graduated in 1989 with a commerce degree from McGill University before obtaining my law degree from the University of Ottawa in 1993.
I have been a practising family lawyer for 25 years and have worked for thousands of families in our community.
Working as a courtroom lawyer for 25 years has helped me hone my advocacy skills. It is those skills I now look forward to using to advocate on behalf of the residents of Ward 5.
In addition to my family and my work, I have volunteered my time with local women’s shelters and sat on the board of directors of one of them. I have also been involved with the St. John’s Ambulance Dog Therapy program (until the untimely passing of my seven-year old Golden Retriever).
Being president of the Beverly Glen Ratepayers Association was an experience that helped me understand the serious issues facing our community (including traffic, construction, increasing density, wasted tax dollars, and others).
As president of the Beverly Glen Ratepayer’s Association, I experienced first hand how the residents of Ward 5 are being ignored by local politicians.
The main platform of my campaign is to give the people of Ward 5 a voice in local politics. Our voices have gone unheard for too long while the interests of other parties take priority.
In addition to giving the people a voice, my top priorities include addressing traffic chaos (caused by the unnecessary Rapidway construction down the middle of a residential area), decreasing density, forcing city council to respect taxpayers, and ensuring fair and accessible leadership.
Please join me as I work hard to become “Our Voice for Change”!
