My name is Eliana Di Biase and I am a candidate for local and regional councillor for the City of Vaughan. I obtained both my bachelor of education and bachelor of arts degrees from York University, majoring in French, sociology, and teacher education. This has enabled me to successfully teach, for 45 years, within the education system.
I have been a resident of Vaughan for most of my life. I have served the community and have been associated with local politics for many years. I served as a director for Vaughanwood Ratepayers, the Canadian Cancer Society, Hospice Vaughan, and the Woodbridge Agriculture Society. I have also served on many committee boards within the community: The Woodbridge Swim Club, A Touch of Love and Hope Foundation, Share Life, and the Woodbridge Soccer Club.
I have experience in running successful organizations, I'm fully aware of the community concerns and I'm ready to make a difference. I am a community leader who has always taken the necessary strides to better the lives for those who call Vaughan their home. As a result of my actions in supporting and making a difference in the community, I received the Chabad Flamingo Woman of Valour Award.
My deep roots and experience within the community have prepared me to take on the challenge of being the local and regional councillor for the City of Vaughan. Vaughan will continue to grow and I am the right candidate to help guide that growth. I will provide strong leadership in guiding Vaughan to its absolute potential and making it a better place for all to live.
If elected as the local and regional councillor, I am committed to the following:
1. Reducing gridlock
2. Reducing taxes
3. Growth management
4. Increasing community safety
Vote Eliana Di Biase for a safe, affordable, livable Vaughan.
