After serving our community on the school board for 15 years, including working diligently last year as chair, I’m excited to run to continue to serve my community to ensure we have an excellent quality of life here in East Gwillimbury and that our town remains affordable for all of us.

I bring an extensive record of local community service. In addition to four terms as a school board trustee representing East Gwillimbury and two terms as vice-president of the Ontario Public School Boards Association, I’ve served as a member of the East Gwillimbury public library board and as a member of the East Gwillimbury environmental advisory committee.

I am a consumer advocate on the Tarion Home Warranty Board, working to ensure industry accountability to new homeowners.

Previously, I enjoyed a career in business with major advertising firms.

I have a master’s degree from UOIT and a bachelor of arts from the University of Toronto.

I’ve lived in Holland Landing for decades, where I’ve raised my two children.

Our town is facing a variety of challenges stemming from growth, and we need to focus on two key issues: quality of life and the cost of living here.

Both new and longtime residents expect a high quality of life in our town, with excellent recreational programs, parks full of all the amenities their families need, trails to take advantage of our beautiful natural environment, roads in good repair and emergency services they can depend on.

Similarly, we want to ensure that life in East Gwillimbury remains affordable.

Having managed the school board’s $1.5-billion budget responsibly, I will use my experience as a prudent fiscal manager to go line by line through the budget to cut waste, find savings and keep taxes and fees as low as possible for our residents.

I have a record of experience, commitment and accountability to be a strong and effective voice for Holland Landing, River Drive Park and Harvest Hills.
