My family and I have called East Gwillimbury home for almost three decades. It has been a wonderful place to raise a family and we chose this community for its rural character and the great people that live here.

My professional private sector background includes more than 14 years working in the graphic communications industry establishing a network of dealers throughout North America for a leading manufacturer of equipment.

For the last 11 years, I have worked at city hall in Toronto with two different councillors serving residents in a ward with a population of over 60,000 people and 20,000 households. In this role, I have gained invaluable front line and managerial level experience in municipal operations, working extensively on planning, transportation and budget/taxation issues, as well as interacting with other levels of government.

Most importantly, this position has allowed me the opportunity to work with and advocate directly for residents and community groups when there is a need to engage your local government.

As your Ward 1 councillor, I will:

Foster the creation of community working groups to ensure we have local development with vision. One that ensures any future changes will be positive and reflect the collective desires of the current residents who have made our town such a desirable place to call home.

Improve our commute times by working with other levels of government to advocate for the widening of Highway 404 from Aurora to Green Lane and speeding up the opening of the 404/Doane Road interchange.

Initiate a heritage revitalization/beautification plan in the Holland Landing Village.

Implement a new program to improve safety in school zones. The safety of all pedestrians, but particularly children, must be a priority in our communities.
